Carrie Underwood treated a military family to a very special surprise on Monday night.
Jonathon and Cara Martin thought they were just going to see the country super star play live at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia but little did they know Underwood had more in store for them.
Underwood met with the couple and their two daughters, Eryca, 9, and Taryn, 8 at a meet-and-greet arranged by Operation Homefront, FOX 29 reports.
"We really thought we were just going to a concert," the Martins stated to FOX29.
Underwood was touched by the experience as well.
"It's nice to be able to say thank you, to your whole family really because they are your support unit. For what you do for us," Underwood told them.
SFC Jonathon Martin has served three tours in Iraq and Afghanistan. His wife Cara was also in the army.
In conjunction with Carnival Cruise Line, Underwood is sending the Martins on a cruise.
"We've never been given an opportunity anything like that before and we never even had a honey moon we talked about resorts and cruises," they said. "This is an incredible opportunity and we are extremely thankful."
