Amy Heckerling’s daughter fired back at claims that producer Lorne Michaels forced “A Night at the Roxbury” star Chris Kattan to engage in a sexual relationship with her mother to keep the director attached to the film.
Mollie Heckerling wrote on Twitter that her mom and the actor did have an affair — but only when filming for the 1998 comedy was “well underway.”
Mollie, now 33, “saw no evidence of her [mother] seeing, or even talking” to Kattan until then, she added.

But she denied that Michaels had any hand in the relationship — claiming he actually disapproved and made rude comments that impacted her mother’s health.
“Chris told her that when he informed Lorne Michael’s that they were seeing each other, Lorne said, ‘What do you want to date her for? She’s so old,'” Heckerling’s daughter wrote. “My mom spiraled into a massive eating disorder while dating Chris because she was insecure about their age difference, and then Chris ultimately went and cheated on her with Elisa Donovan who played Amber in Clueless and also had a role in ‘A Night at the Roxbury.’”

The daughter said she spoke out because the director is an “extraordinarily private person” and “didn’t want to comment on this because she felt as though her responding would further fuel the story,” according to a statement provided to New York Magazine.
In his memoir, “Baby, Don’t Hurt Me,” Kattan claimed Michaels pressured him to have sex with Heckerling so she would stay attached to the movie.
CHRIS KATTAN SAYS HE BROKE HIS NECK ON 'SNL'
The “Saturday Night Live” star, then 27, said he initially rejected the 43-year-old director’s advances but relented after receiving a “furious” call from Michaels.
Michaels allegedly told him that “Paramount would only do the movie if Amy signed on as a director, not as a producer,” and if he “wanted to make sure the movie happened, then [he] had to keep Amy happy.”

Heckerling ended up signing on as a producer on the movie, with John Fortenberry directing.
An “SNL” spokesperson also denied Kattan’s claims about Michaels, saying, “This did not happen.”
