A Guide to the Fox News 2022 Elections Experience
The Fox News Midterm Elections experience is unlike anything we’ve presented before. Since the last election, we’ve enhanced our charts and graphs, and this page will explain how to interact with them.
Congressional Race Time Plot
Our Time Plot shows the current status of seats held by Democrats and Republicans, and how we’ve arrived at this status. The numbers at the bottom represent the time on Election Day. The numbers along the left side represent the number of seats in the Senate or House of Representatives. Points are plotted every half-hour throughout the night to indicate how many seats were won by each party by that time.
Balance of Power Bars
Our Balance of Power bars allow you to see which party is closer to power, including the total number of seats held and gained by each party. In the Senate, you’ll also see the number of seats not up for election this year. The Net Gain figure represents the number of seats the parties have gained (seats won minus seats lost), compared to the number of seats they held before the election.
Interactive Seating Charts
We’ve expanded on the seating charts you’ve seen before by adding state and district indicators within the circles. You can also hover over or select a race in order to see more granular data, including leading candidates, vote counts and more.
Save Races That Matter to You
You can save races that are important to you and view them all in one place on the My Races page. Simply select the star button next to the races you’d like to save, and then go to your My Races page to see them all at once.
