Will.i.am from the Black Eyed Peas sometimes acts like he’s from the future, but his latest car has a definite retro vibe.
The songsmith has been spotted driving around L.A. recently in a wild ride reportedly built for him by West Coast Customs.
According to a source that spoke to TMZ.com, the blue, chrome, 1930s comic book-style coupe cost $900,000.
FoxNews.com reached out to West Coast Customs for comment, but it has yet to respond.
According to Jalopnik.com, it's powered by a supercharged GM V8 and the car was built on the chassis of a 1958 VW Beetle.

Early last year, Will.i.am announced the creation of IAMAUTOS, a car company he said he planned to start in the East Los Angeles neighborhood where he grew up, but aside from a one-off gullwing sports car, apparently based on a DeLorean and also built for him by West Coast Customs, there’s been little news on the project ever since.
