Golden Globes fashion: Celebrities get sexy on the red carpet and after-parties
From Jennifer Lopez's jaw-dropping silver dress to Alessandra Ambrosio's sheer ensemble, the red carpet and Golden Globe after-parties were chock-full of sparkly metallics, bright whites and dramatic reds.
Jennifer Lopez, known for her eye-catching gowns at awards shows, lived up to expectations on Sunday.
Wearing a silver dress with a mega-plunging neckline by one of her favorite designers, Zuhair Murad, at the Golden Globes Awards, Lopez prompted an observation by her co-presenter, Jeremy Renner, that became one of the night’s most commented-on remarks.
When Lopez, 45, offered to open the envelope revealing the winner, she noted: “You want me to do it? I’ve got the nails.”
Renner, whose eyes did not seem to be on the envelope, responded “Yeah, you’ve got the globes too.”
The celebrities presented two awards – including "Best Actor in a TV, Mini-series or Movie."
Entertainment Tonight noted: “Thankfully, Lopez was a pro and laughed the entire exchange off and winner Billy Bob Thornton didn’t even dare to say anything remotely off-kilter when he got to the mic to accept his award for Fargo.”
