{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Yemen's ousted president is blaming the country's new government for widespread power outages that have hit the nation in the past weeks, saying the authorities are failing in their job.
Ali Abdullah Saleh spoke in an interview on Yemeni television on Friday, saying that the new leadership is quick to blame him for everything, from "power cuts to sabotages on oil pipelines."
He says that it would not be "rational for the person who built the nation for 33 years, to sabotage his own achievements."
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Saleh ruled Yemen for over 30 years. He stepped down after a year-long-uprising as part of a 2012 power transfer deal that gave him immunity from prosecution.
But critics accuse him of meddling in the country's affairs in an attempt to disrupt Yemen's democratic transition.
