A British court martial board has convicted a royal marine of murder following the execution of an injured insurgent in Afghanistan.
The board ruled that the commando, who can only be identified as Marine A, was guilty of killing the man in cold blood in Helmand Province more than two years ago.
Two other marines, Marines B and C, were acquitted Friday.

Marine A shot the Afghan in the chest at close range with a 9 millimeter pistol before quoting a phrase from Shakespeare as the man died before him.
He then turned to comrades and said: "Obviously this doesn't go anywhere, fellas. I just broke the Geneva Convention."
Marine A was convicted in part thanks to footage shot by a camera mounted on the helmet of Marine B.
