Members of Tunisia's transitional government say the health of their deposed president is not a concern for the interim leadership.
At a meeting Friday, the Cabinet briefly discussed reports that ex-President Zine El Abidine Ben Ali is in a coma. The government neither confirmed nor denied the reports.
Taieb Baccouche, spokesman of the caretaker government, said the health of 74-year-old Ben Ali "is not an issue for the transitional government."

Tourism Minister Mehdi Haouas said the discussion by ministers of Ben Ali's health "didn't last longer than 10 seconds."
News reports citing unnamed sources say Ben Ali is in a coma in a hospital in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Ben Ali fled to the Gulf nation on Jan. 14, after a weekslong popular uprising against him.
