Samurai Sword Attack at Greek School Injures Two

ATHENS -- A student armed with a samurai sword wounded two members of staff at a high school in the Greek capital Tuesday, the Athens News Agency reported.

The 18 year old, of Polish origin, was arrested at the school in a wealthy area of the city brandishing the 32-inch, Japanese-style blade.

Two staff members, a security guard and the school's deputy director tackled the student. They suffered non-life-threatening cuts and were being treated in the hospital.

The reason for the attack was not clear, although police said he had "lost his mind," AFP reported.
