An international rights group has released a video in which it says the wife of China's jailed Nobel peace laureate Liu Xiaobo is shown under house arrest.
Reporters Without Borders on Friday made the video public and called on authorities to release Liu Xia from house arrest and stop harassing Liu's family.
The video came on the same day that Chinese novelist and 2012 Nobel literature prize winner Mo Yan told reporters that he wished for Liu Xiaobo's freedom. It was released hours before the 2012 Nobel Peace Prize was announced.

In the video, a lone woman identified as Liu Xia is shown smoking by a window with its blinds open.
China in 2009 sentenced Liu Xiaobo to 11 years in prison on charges of inciting subversion of state power.
