Poll: Most Germans say Cologne attacks haven't changed views
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}According to a poll, the majority of Germans say their views on refugees haven't shifted significantly following the New Year's assaults in Cologne.
Two-thirds of 1,203 respondents in a telephone poll said the incident hadn't changed their attitudes toward asylum and refugee issues. One third of respondents in the poll conducted for public broadcaster ZDF said it had.
The poll published Friday did find growing concern that the influx of refugees would lead to more crime. Some 70 percent of respondents expressed that opinion when asked in the poll conducted Jan 12-14, up from 62 percent in October. The margin of error was plus or minus 3 points.
