Person throws Molotov cocktail at Berlin's Reichstag parliament building; fails to start fire

Berlin police say an unidentified person threw a Molotov cocktail onto the steps of the capital's landmark Reichstag parliament building but failed to start a blaze.

The person threw the bottle full of a flammable liquid at a side entrance of the building early Monday morning, police said.

They say the liquid ignited for a short time and then sputtered out, and the attacker fled on foot. Nobody was injured.
