Pakistan: Saudi crown prince to visit Islamabad this week
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Pakistan's foreign ministry says Saudi Crown Prince Mohamed bin Salman will come to Islamabad this week for a key visit aimed at boosting ties between the two Muslim nations.
The two-day visit, which starts on Sunday, is also expected to include the signing of multi-billion dollar Saudi investments in Pakistan.
The ministry said on Wednesday that the Saudi crown prince, also known as MBS, will be accompanied by a high-level delegation, including members of the royal Saudi family, ministers and leading businessmen.
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}This will be Prince Mohamed's first official visit since he was appointed heir to the throne in 2017.
Saudi Arabia has for decades been a key donor and investor in Pakistan but relations became strained when Pakistan refused to support the Saudi-led intervention in the war in Yemen.
