Outgoing Toronto mayor to sell off remaining 'Robbie Bobbie' bobblehead dolls

Outgoing Toronto Mayor Rob Ford is selling off his remaining "Robbie Bobbie" bobblehead dolls to benefit the hospitals that have been treating his cancer.

Ford released a statement Thursday saying supporters can buy the collectors' items at the mayor's office for US$26 (CA$30) each with the proceeds going to support two hospitals.

Previous sales of Ford bobbleheads have brought long lines to city hall.

Doctors discovered a rare and aggressive cancer in Ford's abdomen in September, leading the embattled mayor — whose term in office was marked by scandals involving public drunkenness and smoking crack cocaine — to drop his bid for re-election.

Ford will undergo a fourth round of chemotherapy next week, his brother Doug told CP24 TV.

Toronto's mayor-elect John Tory takes office Dec. 2.
