Around 100 people were evacuated from Moscow's Christ the Savior Cathedral Tuesday after a telephone bomb threat, Interfax news agency reported.
"An unknown person phoned the police at 17:02 (14:02 GMT) and said that there was a bomb placed in the Cathedral of Christ the Savior," Interfax reported, citing a city police spokesman.
Police sniffer dogs were called in and the cathedral was searched for explosives but nothing was found, police said.

The evacuation however highlighted the jitters in the Russian capital a day after 39 people were killed and 83 injured in two bomb attacks in the Moscow metro.
Moscow observed a day of mourning Tuesday and the cathedral was the site of a memorial service for victims of the attacks.
Christ the Savior Cathedral will host a televised service on Easter Sunday that will be attended by Patriarch Kirill, the head of the Russian Orthodox Church as well as by top Russian officials.
