Mexican officials say 4-year-old who disappeared in Mexico City suburb found in El Salvador
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Mexican authorities say a 4-year-old girl who vanished from her home near Mexico City on April 1 has been found alive and well in El Salvador.
Mexico's Foreign Relations Department says Valeria Hernandez de Jesus was discovered wandering on a street in Sonsonate, El Salvador. Sonsonate is about 750 miles (1,200 kilometers) from the Mexico City suburb of Texcoco, where the girl's parents reported her missing.
A statement issued Saturday by the Foreign Relations Department does not say how the girl came to be in Sonsonate, where she was found with the help of Salvadoran police.
