It’s like Monopoly money, North Korea-style.
A 330-pound pile of fake North Korean banknotes was found at a Seoul thrift store amid a heap of wastepaper, UPI reported Wednesday, citing the Yonhap news agency.
The counterfeit bills were printed in 5,000 North Korean won denominations.
A man and woman in their 40s reportedly purchased the bills. Authorities said they were investigating whether the buyers were North Korean defectors.
The bills would be worth around $5.50 each -- if they weren't counterfeit.
