Carlos Flores, 36, of East Harlem is a hero.
He managed to pull a man -- taller and heavier than himself and who had fainted -- off the subway tracks at the East 103rd Street Station in Manhattan on Sunday.
The entire ordeal happened at around 8 a.m.

Flores' lifesaving action was partially motivated by self-interest. He told the Daily News that it crossed his mind in the seconds before he jumped onto the tracks that he would be late for work if the train struck the man.
Flores was reportedly concerned about losing out on overtime pay at a grocery store where he works as a clerk.
He later boarded the No. 6 train and headed into work.
