Infamous ex-Toronto mayor Rob Ford will lie in repose for two days at City Hall before he is laid to rest next week.

Ford died Tuesday after fighting cancer at age 46. The Ford family said Wednesday that mourners will be able to pay their respects Monday and Tuesday at City Hall. The Ford family thanked current Mayor John Tory for allowing the honor.

Ford's tenure as mayor of the country's largest city was marred by revelations about his drinking problems and illegal drug use.

A procession Wednesday will start from City Hall and end with a funeral at St. James Cathedral. After the service, Ford's family will leave for a private ceremony. But a public celebration of Ford's life is planned that evening at the Toronto Congress Centre.
