Guatemalan authorities say they have arrested an alleged Mexican drug trafficker linked to a big methamphetamine lab.
Interior Minister Mauricio Lopez Bonilla says Ramon Antonio Yanez Ochoa was detained at his home in Guatemala City on Wednesday at the same time police were raiding a lab elsewhere in the capital where they seized meth and chemicals worth about $12 million.
Lopez says the lab is the biggest found so far in Central America.

Authorities also detained Yuni Enriquez, a Guatemalan official at the Guatemala port of Puerto Quetzal. They allege he has links to Yanez.
Officials don't say what drug cartel Yanez alleged works for. The government has said Mexico's powerful Sinaloa drug cartel appears to be extending its production of methamphetamine into Central America.
