A large French business delegation is visiting Iran, trying to revive economic ties amid the easing of Western sanctions against Tehran following a landmark nuclear deal.

Iran's state TV says the 107-member French team is the largest in 30 years. It's expected to meet private Iranian business leaders on Monday.

The visit follows similar delegations from the Netherlands, Germany, Italy, South Korea and other countries that have flocked to Iran recently to explore new trade opportunities.

Under the November deal, Iran agreed to cap its uranium enrichment program in return for the easing of some sanctions.

The bite of the sanctions against Iran in recent years has left dangling billions of dollars worth of French investment there, including from companies like oil giant Total and car maker PSA Peugeot Citroen.
