Explosion in Afghan capital shakes buildings; police chief says foreign convoy was target

A powerful explosion has shaken buildings in Kabul and smoke is billowing east of the Afghan capital.
A police official says initial reports were that a car bomb exploded Thursday morning in front of a member of parliament's house east of the city. Officer Jahn Agha says there has been no confirmation of casualties.
Kabul provincial police chief Mohammad Ayub Salangi says a foreign convoy was the target.
