Croat authorities seize container with rockets, other smuggled weapons
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Croatian authorities say they have seized large quantities of illegal military equipment, including rocket launchers and anti-aircraft rockets, found in a shipment from Serbia.
Police and customs officials said Friday the weapons were found in a container at a customs terminal in the northern port of Rijeka. Croatian authorities gave no other details.
In neighboring Serbia, the state intelligence agency said they tipped off the Croat authorities about a week ago of the suspicious shipment, which originated in Italy. It said the seizure was the result of international cooperation.
