Convicted bank robber arrested in Puerto Rico
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Federal authorities in Puerto Rico have arrested a convicted bank robber once featured on the TV show "America's Most Wanted."
A Tuesday statement from the U.S. Customs and Border Protection says Walid Hassan Abdulla was arrested at Puerto Rico's international airport Saturday night after arriving on a flight from Venezuela.
The agency says Abdulla will soon be extradited to Illinois, where he is wanted on charges of violating probation.
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Abdulla was first arrested in Los Angeles in January 2000. In 2002, he was convicted in Illinois for a 1995 bank robbery and sentenced to 97 months in prison.
