Congo president announces 28 ministers

Congo's president has named his new government some five months after he won a contentious election.

President Joseph Kabila late Saturday announced 28 ministers. Most are technocrats and not well-known by the public. Two ministers are members of the opposition. Only six ministers remain from the former government.

Congo's election last year was only the second since the country's civil war, and the first to be organized entirely by the country itself rather than by the United Nations.
