Colombia police probe report computers stolen during party at Honduran embassy

Colombian police say they are investigating reports that at least two computers were stolen during a party at the Honduran embassy in Bogota that involved presumed prostitutes.

Police Col. Jose Elias Baquero says police are searching for what he describes as two "contracted women" who attended the Dec. 20 party.

He says Honduran officials have confirmed that there was a party in which two portable computers were stolen, but that they prefer to handle the matter internally.

The Honduran newspaper El Heraldo reports Friday that the involved presumed prostitutes and friends of an embassy employee, and it says other damage was done to the building.

The embassy did not respond to repeated calls seeking comment and the Foreign Ministry in Tegucigalpa said it may release information later.
