An amber alert was discontinued in East Texas, Saturday, as authorities announced they believe they have found the remains of Kayla Gomez-Orozco.

The Tyler news source KLTV reports the body was discovered at a home in Bullard, after officers received a tip.

The Cherokee County Sheriff tells KLTV the body was found in the 22000 block of Old Jacksonville Highway, about two miles from the church where Kayla was last seen, Tuesday night.

KLTV reports evidence was found on the property, which prompted investigators to get a warrant and search the area. That is where the remains were found.

An area of about 200 square feet is taped off as investigators work the scene.

The discovery of the remains follows a day of searching. The FBI organized a massive search, Saturday, that involved more than 800 volunteers combing 1,500 acres.

Investigators say they will stay on scene throughout the night and are working to get more search warrants.

Authorities say they will provide more details at a news conference, Sunday morning.
