Blast in Pakistani frontier city kills 2 children
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}A Pakistani police officer says that two children have been killed by an explosion at a Sunni shrine in Peshawar as dozens of people gathered there.
Zafar Khan said a bomb attached to a cart pulled by a donkey exploded as people visited the shrine Thursday evening.
Women and children made up most of the crowd.
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the blast. Taliban militants have often targeted such shrines in the past because they consider them a form of idol worship that is forbidden in their strict interpretation of Islam.
