A Pakistani police officer says that two children have been killed by an explosion at a Sunni shrine in Peshawar as dozens of people gathered there.
Zafar Khan said a bomb attached to a cart pulled by a donkey exploded as people visited the shrine Thursday evening.
Women and children made up most of the crowd.

There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the blast. Taliban militants have often targeted such shrines in the past because they consider them a form of idol worship that is forbidden in their strict interpretation of Islam.
