WELLINGTON, New Zealand -- An aftershock has rattled the earthquake-ravaged city of Christchurch, New Zealand, but no serious damage or injuries were reported.
The U.S. Geological Survey said the 5.0-magnitude quake struck Monday morning 13 miles west of Christchurch at a depth of 2 miles.
Scores of aftershocks have followed the devastating earthquake that struck Christchurch in February, killing 181 people. The February quake was New Zealand's most expensive natural disaster, costing an estimated $15 billion.
