Emergency services on the Spanish island of Mallorca say four spectators were seriously injured when a rally car slammed sideways into them during a race.
Mallorca's urgent care service says one of the injured lost a foot and another suffered spinal cord injuries. Both were receiving care Sunday in Palma's Son Espases hospital while two others, one with bone fractures in a leg, were taken to Palma's Juaneda Clinic.
The accident happened Saturday and organizer Rallysprint Aficio de Calvia said on its Twitter account it wished "those injured a speedy recovery." A black bow appears on the island's Mallorca Rallye website.
