A U.S. defense contractor says two of its employees were the Americans shot at in Saudi Arabia on Friday, marking the second such incident for the company in less than four months.

Vinnell Arabia said in a brief statement Sunday that both of the Americans were wounded in the shooting, which it says took place in the oil-rich kingdom's eastern al-Ahsa province. It says they are in stable condition at a local hospital.

The official Saudi Press Agency said Friday that an unidentified gunman shot at the Americans.

One Vinnell employee was killed and another was wounded in October in a shooting involving what officials said was a Saudi-American dual national who was recently fired from the company.

Vinnell Arabia is partly owned by Falls Church, Virginia-based Northrop Grumman Corp.
