A boy and a woman have died and another two people were seriously injured when an Indonesian fishing boat carrying asylum seekers rolled in the Indian Ocean near the Australian territory of Christmas Island.
Australian Home Affairs Minister Jason Clare says all 95 people aboard the boat were quickly recovered, including the dead and injured following the tragedy on Monday.
He says an Australian border protection vessel had come alongside the boat when two large waves struck. He is uncertain whether the boat capsized, but says it did roll and took water.
