2 British students win Halloween contest dressed as burning Twin Towers

Two British teens have sparked outrage for participating in a Halloween costume contest dressed as the Twin Towers during the 9/11 attacks.

The Sun reports that Amber Langford and Annie Collinge, both 19, won the competition at a nightclub in Chester with their controversial outfits.

The costumes were labeled "North Tower" and "South Tower," and included hats depicting what appeared to be plane wreckage, according to the New York Post.

The Sun reported that Langford's father, a longtime pilot who was reportedly flying on 9/11, vowed to "have a little chat" with his daughter over the outfits.

Nearly 3,000 people were killed in the attack in New York, Washington, and Pennsylvania.
