A western New York woman was arrested Wednesday after state police spotted her driving a vehicle with fake license plate on the back of her car and decided to pull her over.
Amanda Schweickert, 28, of Sardinia, painted a piece of cardboard yellow and blue to make it look like she was driving with an official New York state license plate, the Erie County Sheriff’s Office said.
Schweickert was driving on a suspended registration and no insurance, according to the Buffalo News. She was charged with a felony count of possession of a forged instrument, driving with a suspended registration and ticketed for three traffic infractions, the sheriff’s office said.
