The White House is defending a senior aide over recent comments he made about the Iran nuclear deal.
White House spokesman Josh Earnest says the White House is reviewing a request for deputy national security adviser Ben Rhodes to testify before the House oversight committee. The committee's chairman has asked Rhodes to testify Tuesday about whether he and other allies made false claims about the deal.
But Earnest says if Republicans want to investigate misstatements, they should call some Republicans to testify.
