Investigators in Tennessee on Sunday were engaged in a days-long search for a suspected murderer on the state’s “Top Ten Most Wanted” list.
Kirby Gene Wallace, 53, is wanted for first-degree murder, kidnapping, arson, robbery and burglary. He’s being sought by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI), in addition to the Stewart and Montgomery County Sheriff’s Offices. The TBI said on Friday that Wallace allegedly committed several crimes “all in the past few days.”
Wallace was spotted in a stolen vehicle early Saturday in Stewart County, but near Montgomery County, WTVF reported. He allegedly crashed the vehicle and escaped when he ran into authorities.
The TBI said late Sunday that investigators were searching for Wallace in Stewart County and “encourage property owners and residents in this area to check their land, outbuildings, and vehicles and report anything suspicious to authorities.”
Wallace has brown hair and hazel eyes, is 5’10” and weighs 157 pounds. He’s considered to be armed and dangerous.
A reward of up to $2,500 has been offered to information leading to Wallace’s arrest.
