Virginia teen killed in crash trying to let police pass
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Police say a Prince George County student was trying to let a police car pass when his vehicle ran off the road and went into a body of water.
Virginia State Police say 17-year-old Marvin Massenburg was killed in the accident Tuesday morning on Courthouse Road.
State police tell media outlets that a Prince George officer was responding to what turned out to be a false alarm when Massenburg tried to pull his vehicle over to let the police car pass. Massenburg's vehicle went down into a ravine and became partially submerged in the water.
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}The officer saw the accident, stopped and tried to rescue Massenburg. The Prince George High School student was pronounced dead at the scene.
The investigation is continuing.
