Virginia restaurant offers discount to gun-toting patrons
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}A Northern Virginia restaurant owner giving gun owners a 15 percent discount on their bills in an attempt to promote his business as a gun-friendly establishment.
Brian Crosswhite, owner of The Cajun Experience in Leesburg, is hosting weekly 'open carry' discount nights for patrons with concealed handgun permits, WJLA.com reports.
"Why can't I promote my business as a gun-friendly place that people come in and are law-abiding citizens who chose to participate in the second amendment," Crosswhite told the station.
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Crosswhite said he's received some pushback against the promotion but that support among customers outweighs any resistance, according to the report.
In February, a Virginia Beach pizza shop owner said he would give gun owners a 15 percent discount in a show of support for gun rights.
