Stunning video shows three good Samaritans jumping onto New York City subway tracks to rescue an unconscous man who had fallen.
Friday afternoon's rescue at the City Hall station in lower Manhattan happened minutes before a train arrived.
The video shows the three straphangers lifting the man up onto the platform. The three then hoisted themselves back onto the platform with the help of others.
Journalism student Sumeja Tulic shot the video which was posted on YouTube by Gothamist, a local blog network.
Tulic told the blog the rescuers jumped onto the tracks “without hesitation” to save the man who was bleeding and unconscious.
"It was like a melting pot of goodness," she told NBC New York.
An R train arrived two minutes later.
A Fire Department spokesman said the rescued man was taken to a hospital in serious condition.
