Utah child psychiatrist held on child porn charges

An Ogden child psychiatrist has been arrested and fired after officials say they found child pornography on his computer.

The Weber County Sheriff's Office says 41-year-old David F. Wilson was arrested Friday and booked into jail on 15 counts of possessing and viewing child pornography.

Officials say hundreds of child pornography images were found on Wilson's computer at McKay-Dee Hospital in Ogden, where he worked as a child psychiatrist until April.

The hospital released a statement Monday that said Wilson was fired when the images were discovered, and officials have no evidence that indicates any risk to his patients.

State officials say Wilson's medical licenses have been suspended.

Wilson is being held in Weber County Jail on a $150,000 bond. It was unknown if he had an attorney.
