PHILADELPHIA – Authorities say federal marshals serving a warrant have shot and killed a suspect in Philadelphia.
Police say initial information indicates that someone pointed a weapon at the marshals in the rear driveway of a home in the Oxford Circle neighborhood shortly after 9:30 a.m. Monday.
Police say a 28-year-old suspect was pronounced dead at the scene. No further information was immediately available, including the nature of the warrant being served.
A representative of the U.S. Marshals Service in Philadelphia didn't immediately return a call seeking comment.
