At least one real-life Scrooge has been wreaking havoc on Christmas preparations in the New York City suburbs by stealing Toys for Tots donations.
Police said toys intended for children in need have been swiped this week from a Toys R Us in White Plains and a Toys R Us and Modell’s store in Yonkers.
"I have no tolerance for someone that's going to steal from children," Stephen Topilnycky, the Westchester County coordinator for Toys for Tots, told Fox 5.

Toys for Tots has sent warnings to donation sites, alerting them to a scam in which callers claim they are from the organization and show up to collect the toys.
Some of the stolen toys have been recovered and Yonkers police are currently questioning two persons of interest, but no charges have been filed, according to Fox 5.
