Texas authorities are searching for a suspect and motive behind the shooting death of a 17-year-old aspiring actress whose body was found last week behind a south Fort Worth home.

Claudia Hidic, of Fort Worth, was found dead Thursday night from a single gunshot wound to the head in what authorities have ruled a homicide.

A man, whom police have not identified, called 911 shortly after 6 p.m. Thursday to report finding the young woman's body behind his house, Fox affiliate KDFW-TV reported. The back door of the man's home appeared to have been kicked in, police said.

The man told authorities he did not know the woman. The Star-Telegram reported Sunday that he has stopped talking to investigators, though he is not considered a suspect or "person of interest" in the case.

Hidic, who was reportedly a Bosnian from Germany, had just completed her junior year at Trinity High School in Euless.

The teen's former foster parents, Jim and Sue Scionka, described her to KDFW as a beautiful young woman who had dreams of going to college and becoming an actress.

"If your heart is touching you ... If you know anything about this situation I pray (you) would contact the authorities," Jim Scionka told the station.

Police reportedly obtained a search warrant and combed the man's home looking for any evidence in the case. It's not known whether anything was taken from the residence.

"We're still interviewing witnesses, family and friends," police spokeswoman Sharron Neal told the Star-Telegram. "We have spent many hours there trying to find out what happened .... It's just taking some time to process all the evidence we have."
