A 5-year-old South Texas girl has been credited with saving her mother Friday when the woman had a seizure while in the family's swimming pool.
The rescue captured on home surveillance video shows Tracy Anderwald unconscious in the pool at a home near Portland, which is outside Corpus Christi.
Her daughter, Allison, is seen wading in and dragging her mother to the shallow end. Allison manages to turn her mother over so the woman can breathe.

The girl then runs to get help from other relatives, who called 911.
Anderwald, who was discharged Tuesday from a Corpus Christi hospital, says she doesn't know why she had a seizure and lost consciousness.
“I did not know where I was,” she told The Corpus Christi Caller Times. “They did not tell me (about the incident) for a while.”

Anderwald says her daughter learned to swim at 2 years old and she's amazed that the child knew what to do.
