A man charged with fatally stabbing a woman in a Saco, Maine, supermarket did not enter a plea during his first court appearance.
Thirty-one-year-old Connor MacCalister, of Saco, said nothing and showed little emotion at York County Superior Court in Alfred on Friday. State police say MacCalister stabbed 59-year-old Wendy Boudreau, also of Saco, at a Shaw's supermarket on Wednesday, killing her.
The judge also did not set bail in the case. Defense attorney Robert LeBrasseur says the next step is for the case to go to a grand jury.

Police say there is no indication Boudreau and MacCalister knew each other. MacCalister is charged with murder.
A court affidavit says MacCalister confessed to the slaying. The affidavit says the attack came after weeks of planning.
