Authorities say a student has been injured in a shooting on a school bus outside of a southern Michigan school.
The Jackson Citizen Patriot reports the student of the Wilson Academy alternative high school in Jackson was shot Monday afternoon in the upper body and taken to a hospital. Police are searching for the suspect, who fled.
Jackson schools Superintendent Jeff Beal tells the newspaper the school was locked down and a new bus came to pick up the other students. He says a crisis team that includes social workers is coming to the school.
