Student found dead inside Syracuse University dorm, report says

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – A student was found dead Friday in a residence hall at Syracuse University, a source told WSYR-TV.

The circumstances surrounding the student's death were not immediately clear.

An ambulance was reportedly seen leaving DellPlain Hall on the university's campus, and approximately a dozen police cars were also at the scene.

Students who live in the dorm said police were preventing them from entering the residence hall's first floor, but said residents of other floors were permitted to go to their rooms, WSYR reported.
