The uncle of one of three women found dead in Ohio says he believes her disappearance helped save another woman.

Hundreds of people gathered Thursday in Ashland for a candlelight vigil for the victims, including Stacey Stanley.

The Mansfield News Journal reports Stanley's uncle told the crowd her disappearance led relatives searching for her toward an Ashland house, where another woman was held captive. Relatives say they believe their search efforts led suspect Shawn Grate to doze off after a sleepless night, allowing the surviving woman to call 911.

Authorities found the bodies of Stanley and another unidentified woman at the home. Grate directed authorities to a third body.

He's charged with murder and kidnapping. Court records list no attorney for Grate, who's scheduled for a bond hearing Friday.
