Authorities say a North Carolina woman has been charged with murder after they say she deliberately crashed her car into a tree, killing a passenger and injuring two others.
Raleigh police charged Lisa Howard Leak with murder on Friday after investigating the wreck that happened on a local soccer field last week.
The 40-year-old Leak is still being treated for her injuries at a local hospital and will be taken to jail after she is released. It wasn't clear whether she has a lawyer yet.

Police say Leak drove her car off a road, crashed through a soccer goal and into a lone pine tree. The wreck killed 59-year-old Amy Chukwu (CHUCK'-wu). Two other passengers were injured. Leak has been charged with assault in those injuries.
Police haven't said what the motive may have been.
