Authorities in Maryland are looking for an 18-year-old man they say stabbed two young relatives at a Glen Burnie home, killing a 10-year-old girl and wounding a 13-year-old boy.

Anne Arundel County police said in a statement Tuesday that officers were called to a home Monday evening for a report of a stabbing found the two children injured. Both children were taken to area hospitals. Police say the girl died and the boy is being treated for injuries that aren't life-threatening.

Police say detectives have obtained an arrest warrant charging 18-year-old Andres Rafael Quintana Garcia, a relative of both children, with first- and second-degree murder, first- and second-degree attempted murder assault and reckless endangerment.

Police spokesman Lt. Ryan Frashure says the stabbing occurred when a family dispute escalated.
